FRIDA RONGE

I'm an award wining, visionary, dynamic and creative chef with a small piece of Japan in a big Nordic heart.

Over the past decade I have in a commercial and successful way, created my own Japanese-Nordic style of cooking, which has become my signature style. My interest in food started early with a father who ran a fish shop in my home County Gothenburg. At first it was all about the taste and visual presentation in my cooking, but over the years, I've developed a sustainability mindset that has become an important part of my daily work as a chef and food creator. 

2022 I became partner in a Swedish seaweed startup, Kobb, where I can take my sustainability visions into actions.

I have written multiple cook books, is frequently seen on national TV in Sweden, been a co-host in an international TV-series produced in Norway, regularly a guest chef at various events and summits, as well as executed lots of exciting commercial collaborations with brands in the Nordics. 

 

End of 2024, I started a new journey as the Creative Leader for Sustainable Food Experience at Strawberry group.​ Previously,  the Culinary Director at TAK and UNN in Stockholm and Oslo, leading the development of the gastronomical and conceptual vision, making Japanese food more Nordic. Original founder of the restaurants Råkultur and vRå in Gothenbourg.
